Alright, so I saw War of the Worlds a while ago, but I put off writing about it so I could think about it. I actually liked it quite a bit. If you put Independence Day out of your head, which I hadn't even thought about before hand, I can still see it being good. Spielberg did a great job with trying to make you think from the point of view of the aliens. There were some great shots where I could just imagine myself looking down on Earth, laughing at all the stupid humans. The whole blasting people into ashes thing was kinda cool. And the "snack basket" as my Uncle described so well...

So yeah, I would recommend seeing it. Maybe not in theaters, but rent it sometime.
